Noise Ensemble

Here's one insane fuzz/noise machine invented by Anchovie at the diystompboxes forum (original thread here). It uses PT2399 chip as a chaotic delay with the built in opamp in the PT2399 as a comparator fuzz.

    I plan to build this but the offboard wiring is a little bit unclear – how is the loop switch wired? Thanks in advance.

      The loop switch connects the circuit input to the noise circuit output in series with a 3.3meg resistor -

      * Loop switch pin 1 (top left pin) to circuit input (I connected it to the bypass switch pin that goes to the board input).

      Solder the 3.3m resistor between Loop switch pin 1 and 4 (the top left and middle left pins). You may need to experiment with this resistor value to get a nice feedback.

      Loop switch pin 7 (bottom left pin) connects to the circuit output (I connected it to lug 3 on the volyme pot).

LED VU meter

Here's a fun and useless little gimmick that you can add to your pedal - a LED VU meter.  This was a layout I originally made for a microphone preamp. But it works well in a pedal as well. Here is a Roger Mayer Moongoose pedal that I built, with the LED meter. I also used a fader for the gain pot that I salvaged from an old broken small mixer.

Dimension P Chorus

Here is a PT2399 based chorus by Distorque. I was a bit hesitant about this one because of the PT2399, but it sounds great. Very lush and deep. :) Original thread   here .  If anyone wonders, depth lugs 1&2 are supposed to connect from two point on the board. It's not a typo :) Fredrik Lyxzén · dimension_p_chorus
